ABOUT
Hello, I’m Anneke, a photographer born and raised in Fremantle, WA, now living just outside of Perth with my long-term partner.
My journey with photography started in 2014 at the age of 16 when I received a film camera for Christmas. The intentional and artistic nature of film and the way it renders colours drew me in and from there, photography turned into a passion, capturing my friends, birthdays, and every little moment that felt important.
After a few years of working and travelling post-high school (and a gentle nudge from my parents), I wound up at TAFE to study photography and turn it into something more than a hobby. Two years later, I had an Advanced Diploma and a clearer sense of where I was heading.
While studying, I got the chance to second shoot a wedding—and that’s when something really clicked. I saw how naturally my personality fit into the world of weddings, and becoming a wedding photographer suddenly made perfect sense.
Now, I feel incredibly lucky to do this for a living—and I absolutely love it. I love connecting with people, being surrounded by emotion, and capturing all the beautiful, honest moments as they unfold. There’s so much storytelling, creativity, and beauty wrapped into a single day, and it truly is a privilege to document and preserve those memories for all the couples I get to work with.
So, now that you’ve heard a little of my story, I can’t wait to (hopefully) hear yours!
